The Doctor of Business Administration Program at XXXX is my first choice for business school because of its sheer excellence and location. I moved to Seattle from China in 2015 and have made the city my home. I keenly look forward to advancing my business acumen and increasing my potential to make my entire professional contribution to Business Administration - with particular attention to the currently troubled area of US-China economic relations, and the role of Seattle in particular. I seek a total immersion experience in the foundations of Business and the burning issues of the day in commerce, trade, etc. I look forward to extensive research toward eventual publication in transformational servant leadership in organizations.
I hope to make my most significant professional and human contribution by helping improve workers' lives, particularly in China. Having worked in manufacturing in China for more than 20 years, I have a heightened awareness of the intimate relationship between levels of worker satisfaction and dissatisfaction on the one hand and company productivity and profitability on the other. Learning to better understand and deal with depression in the workplace stands at the center of my research interest and the cause to which I look forward to dedicating much of the balance of my professional life.
Earning the Master of Arts in Leadership at XXXX University has provided me with a solid foundation to excel in a DBA program in preparation for a life characterized by increasing levels of responsibility in leadership roles. Transformational servant leadership is a conceptual framework utilized by Dr. XXXX in the 1970s that I hope to employ as a graduate student to research the promotion and sustainable growth of worker satisfaction and lower the incidence of depression among workers.
I look forward to contributing to the diversity of your program as a hard-working student from China who is well-traveled, spending significant amounts of time, mostly professionally, in Thailand, India, UAE, Brazil, Germany, Russia, Singapore, and Canada for a whole month, as well as the USA for the past four years.
