I am a teacher from India entirely devoted to lifetime education and looking forward to decades to come as a teacher of teachers; my professional plans include becoming a teacher and advancing pedagogical initiatives online. I have a fond vision of laboring to open a brick-and-mortar educational institution for underprivileged children in India. I look forward to serving as an educator for many decades, staying current and focused on the best teaching and learning practices teachers can implement, particularly concerning new learning strategies.
English is essential to me as a teacher since I see the cultivation of fluency in English as central to India's future prosperity. For this reason, I have taken several classes online in TESOL from Arizona State University. This graduate academic experience will help me excel in your program at XXXX and prepare me for a professional life as a researcher in Indian pedagogy, since English is a national yet second language in my country. I have worked as a Verbal Instructor for GMAT and GRE examinations for more than two years. Previously, I worked as an English Language instructor. My education and professional experience thus far have helped me cultivate my critical reasoning and analytical skills, and become adept at collaborative research, empirical testing of competing hypotheses, problem-solving, and effective written and oral communication.
I have always been keen on experimenting with training methodologies to develop increasingly effective strategies that appeal to students. Last year, one of my students scored a near-perfect 340 on the GRE using these newly devised approaches. I have long taken courses to enhance my academic advancement. Currently, I am enrolled in an online course, “Learning How to Learn,” through the University of California. In 2017, I completed an online course called “The Science of Everyday Thinking” through the University of Queensland. I earned my bachelor's degree in English Literature, focusing on Linguistics in my final year, earning a degree in December 2017. I am also currently pursuing my PG Diploma in Natural Language Processing.
My country, India, is projected to overtake China as the world’s most populated nation by mid-century. Yet, India is vastly underdeveloped and does not invest adequately in its education system. Thus, I feel strongly that helping to advance the Indian educational system is noble work that also helps increase the interests of global society, more generally speaking.
